Exfoliation Is Key

Face the issue of sun tanning during summers? Fret not, put exfoliation into practise! It helps remove dead skin cells that damage your skin texture, reduces dullness and removes dirt as a result of excessive sweat. After you wake up in the morning, start by exfoliating your skin and then your toning, moisturising, sunscreen and make-up application follows. Go ahead, exfoliate for a clearer and brighter skin this summer.

Live, Laugh, Wear Sunscreen

You’ve heard or maybe read this a million times, but we will still remind you that application of sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 15 is a MUST. Period! And not just in summer, but all year round. Summer especially because sunscreen helps block the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays which are the known factors of many skin diseases. Hence, before leaving home, remember to slather on sunscreen and after every 2-3 hours. If you have not used one, start today. It’s never too late ladies..

Be Amazing, But First Moisturise!

This step is important, trust us. The harsh sun’s rays tends to deplete the skin’s moisture levels and to retain it, moisturising helps. Many creams are available off the counter, but make sure to buy one with a higher SPF level. Moisturise twice a day, morning and before you snooze at night preferably!

Time To Hydrate

The best way to hydrate is by masking, masking & masking. The sun’s strong rays can have an adverse effect on your skin. Bollyglow’s anti-blemish sheet mask sinks right into the pores, deep cleanses and soothes troubled skin. It helps strengthen the natural skin barrier and reduces further damage caused by the sun. It helps control excess oil, reduces redness to give you a fresh and flawless look. Apart from this, the heat can drain you and your skin by the end of the day. Revive dull and tired skin with Bollyglow’s brightening sheet mask that helps plumps and smoothens skin, leaving it visibly fresher and younger. Just what you need. Get masking twice a week, no excuses.

Load Up On Vitamin C & Water, Ofcourse!

Your best friends this summer? Orange juice and water! Increase in temperature and too much exposure to the sun leads to internal dehydration which can make you feel tired and lethargic. Consume a lot of water and also up your intake of Vitamin C rich foods like oranges, lemon, amla, green leafy veggies etc to maintain strong and healthy skin.

Makeup For Summer

Since it’s humid outside, make sure that the makeup you use is smudge-proof. (Nobody likes a cakey look!) Keep a lip balm with SPF 15 handy and use it every time you step outside. Flaky lips is a big NO! NO!

Let this Summer be all about enjoying the outdoors to the fullest.
Have A Happy Summer!
